Farmacia Medina has been serving generations of neighbors with excellence and pride in the quality of their care. Like many neighborhood pharmacies, the pressures of mega chain stores with strong brand names threatened this traditional family owned store. Farmacia Medina had been used to growing and changing as its neighborhood did, little by little. In 2005 it decided to meet the competition head on and move into a new location with a vibrant and modern look that still echoed family warmth.

Old San Juan is the oldest bustling city in the United State. With structures that date back over 450 years, it has been an active living and commercial area throughout the centuries. Imagine having a 30 year old brand name pharmacy, a fixture for many in this old neighborhood, and needing to revamp the store to match new display needs and a changing economy. The architectural layout was fixed in stone, or rather 12 inch concrete walls. This was the predicament for Puerto Rico Drugstore.

PR Drugstore called on the experienced designers of Store Displays to provide options. Store Displays presented two floorplans that offered to increase display areas by 15% and bring a modern, clean, elegant look to the historic retail space.
